What is a social listening MCP server?

A server your AI assistant connects to over the Model Context Protocol to read what people are saying about you. FishOut’s collects your keywords across its platforms, reads every post for relevance and intent, and answers your assistant’s questions with the results.

Is FishOut the only social listening tool with an MCP server?

No. Several listening tools ship one. What FishOut’s adds is the triage on every mention, OAuth instead of a key, the platforms in one server, history and alerts, and a free plan.

Which assistants work with it?

Any client that connects to a remote Streamable HTTP server with OAuth or a custom header. There are setup pages for fifteen; Claude Code and Codex have passed a recorded live test.

Does it track what ChatGPT or Claude say about my brand?

No. FishOut reads what people post on social platforms and in the press. It does not measure AI answers, rankings or “AI visibility”.

Will my assistant post replies through it?

No. There is no posting tool. It can request a draft (from Plus); you post it yourself.
