Does FishOut search all YouTube comments?

No, and no tool can: YouTube offers no search across comments. FishOut finds videos whose title or description matches your keyword and reads the newest comments under each. A comment on an unrelated video that names you is not found.

Do I need a YouTube Data API key?

No. There is no Google Cloud project, key or quota on your side. You connect your assistant to FishOut with OAuth.

Can it fetch a video’s transcript?

No. If transcripts are what you want, a transcript server such as mcp-youtube does it with yt-dlp, and it can sit next to FishOut in the same assistant.

Which plan includes YouTube?

Plus and up. YouTube and Medium share a slower collection gate, so they are checked every 6 hours rather than hourly.

Does it show channel analytics?

Only the channel and its subscriber count on each mention. FishOut does not compute cross-channel metrics; analytics tools built on the Data API go further there.

Every time my bank made me log in again, Fernledger just stopped syncing with no warning. Found out a week later.

Sorry about that — from the Fernledger team. When a bank asks you to log in again, Settings → Accounts → Reconnect restores sync, and since last week the app warns you when a connection drops.
