Mention pricing explained (2026)

This is the shortest pricing page in the set, because there is no longer a price to explain. Mention withdrew its self-serve tiers in July 2025 and its pricing page now shows one plan and a demo button.

[01] THE TIERS/ MENTION

Mention pricing as published on 20 October 2026

Every figure here was read from Mention pricing on 20 October 2026. That date is the point of this page rather than a footnote: when we re-checked all ten tools in this category, three had repriced during the year and every third-party figure we cross-checked was out of date. Confirm anything you are about to sign for.

[02] WHAT IT METERS/ THE REAL LIMITS

There is nothing left to compare

The pricing page carries a single Company plan, a description, and a Get a demo button. There is no figure in the rendered page at all. Dead scaffolding remains in the markup — a currency switcher, a "Starting at $" string, a "Save 360" line — but none of it renders and none of it is populated. Do not infer a price from it.

It is Agorapulse now

The page is branded "mention by agorapulse", and both calls to action leave the domain for Agorapulse. The free trial offered is a 30-day Agorapulse trial with Mention built into it; there is no standalone Mention signup.

History and API are excluded from the plan

Both are listed explicitly as not included and available as paid add-ons, with no prices given. Since two years of history was one of the main reasons to choose Mention, that is a significant exclusion to discover on a call.

Boolean search is tiered within alerts

Only the Advanced Alert type builds custom boolean queries, up to 2,000 characters. The Standard Alert offers a simplified and limited version.
[03] WHAT IS GATED/ BY TIER

Features that are not on every plan

A tier table shows prices; it rarely shows which features the prices are actually buying. These are the gates that decide the plan for most people — A 30-day Agorapulse trial, no credit card, with Mention built into it. There is no Mention-only trial or signup route any more.

[04] WHAT CHANGED/ AND AGAINST US

Recent changes

Two changes, both large. Self-serve Solo, Pro and Pro Plus tiers stopped being sold in July 2025 — existing customers keep them but cannot change plan. Publishing and replying were deprecated for all users on 30 January 2026, with Mention pointing at Agorapulse for both. A support article has carried $599/mo on an annual contract; treat that as the last published figure rather than a current one, because the pricing page publishes nothing.

Mention against FishOut

A comparison between a published $19 a month and a demo call is not really a comparison. What Mention has that we do not is two years of history and genuine multilingual emotion depth — both real, and both now sold as add-ons or behind a quote. FishOut is free to start, $19 a month after that, and every limit is on a page you can read without talking to anyone.
[05] COST TO GET IT/ SAME NEED

What you would pay Mention for each need, and what FishOut charges

The tiers above answer “what does each plan cost”. This answers the question most readers actually arrive with: which plan would I need for the thing I want?

What you get instead of Mention

The Switchers view — people comparing, leaving or complaining — read by AI as it arrives. No contract and no seat count, which is where Mention and FishOut differ most.
