BrandMentions pricing explained (2026)

BrandMentions publishes four tiers. The one surprise is at the bottom: Starter is $99 a month but billed quarterly, so the first charge is about $297. Above it, everything is billed monthly or annually. Keywords, users and update speed all step up together, and the API waits until Enterprise.

[01] THE TIERS/ BRANDMENTIONS

BrandMentions pricing as published on 20 October 2026

Every figure here was read from BrandMentions’ pricing page on 20 October 2026. That date is the point of this page rather than a footnote: when we re-checked all ten tools in this category, three had repriced during the year and every third-party figure we cross-checked was out of date. Confirm anything you are about to sign for.

[02] WHAT IT METERS/ THE REAL LIMITS

Three dials move together

Keywords (5 / 20 / 50), users (1 / 2 / 10) and update speed (daily / hourly / realtime) all step up with the plan. You cannot buy realtime on a small keyword list, or ten users on Pro.

Retention is short at the bottom

Data is kept 3 months on Starter, 6 on Pro and 12 on Expert. Export anything you need to keep.

No overage

BrandMentions says it charges no overage; when you exceed a limit it contacts you about upgrading. That is a fair policy, and rarer than it should be.

Quarterly at entry

Starter is shown as $99 a month billed quarterly. Pro and Expert are billed monthly on the monthly view.
[03] WHAT IS GATED/ BY TIER

Features that are not on every plan

A tier table shows prices; it rarely shows which features the prices are actually buying. These are the gates that decide the plan for most people — a 7-day free trial on Starter, Pro and Expert, and no free plan.

[04] WHAT CHANGED/ AND AGAINST US

Recent changes

Read on 20 October 2026, with no limited-time offer on the page. Enterprise is from $1,299 a month, or from $1,099 billed annually. Alert channels — email, Slack, RSS and webhooks — are in its help centre rather than on the pricing page.

BrandMentions against FishOut

FishOut Free is 10 keywords with hourly checks, the API and an MCP server, billed nothing; Plus is 50 keywords at $19/mo, billed monthly. BrandMentions reads the open web and review sites and makes white-label reports, which we do not.
[05] COST TO GET IT/ SAME NEED

What you would pay BrandMentions for each need, and what FishOut charges

The tiers above answer “what does each plan cost”. This answers the question most readers actually arrive with: which plan would I need for the thing I want?

What you get instead of BrandMentions

What a team gets on the first evening, without a demo: switchers, complaints and press in one inbox, each with its reason. BrandMentions measures the conversation; this tells you which part to answer.

Would love to hear how you handled the archive migration — that is where most teams stall. (I work on AcmeMail, for context.)
