Brand24 vs Sprout Social

These are not the same kind of product, and the comparison is really a question about scope. Sprout publishes, schedules, replies and reports across a whole social operation; Brand24 only listens, and listens more cheaply. If you need publishing, Sprout wins by default. If you do not, Brand24 is flat-priced where Sprout charges per seat, and that gap widens with every login.

Brand24 against Sprout Social

Every figure read from each vendor's own materials on 20 October 2026. A tick marks the column with the advantage on that row; plenty of rows have neither, which is usually the honest answer. Pricing in this category moves — three of the ten tools we track repriced during 2026 — so confirm anything you are about to sign for.

[02] WHERE BRAND24 WINS/ HONESTLY

Flat pricing that survives a growing team

Unlimited users from the $349 Team plan. Sprout charges per seat at every tier, so a fifth person costs another $249 a month on Standard and adds no capacity — profile limits are per account.

Listening is the product, not an add-on

Brand24 includes keywords at every tier. Sprout’s Essentials plan has none at all, and its full Listening module is a paid add-on above Standard whose price is not published.

Sentiment without the top tier

Included on Brand24. On Sprout, sentiment in the Smart Inbox and Reviews is gated to Advanced at $499 per seat per month, alongside the API.
[03] WHERE SPROUT SOCIAL WINS/ HONESTLY

It is a whole social operation

Publishing, scheduling, a unified inbox, review moderation, employee advocacy and reporting across your own channels. Brand24 does none of this and does not claim to.

It can see your own accounts

Sprout connects to your profiles, so it reports on your own performance as well as on what others say. A listening tool watches everyone else and is blind to your channels by design.

Enterprise depth around the data

SSO, granular roles, helpdesk integrations, an approval workflow and white-glove onboarding. For an organisation with a compliance function, this is the difference between a tool that can be bought and one that cannot.
[04] HOW TO CHOOSE/ SHORTCUTS

You need to publish and schedule

Sprout Social

Brand24 does not publish anything. This decides the comparison before any other row matters.

You only listen, and there are five of you

Brand24

Unlimited users from $349 flat against five Sprout seats at $249 each. The per-seat model is what decides this, and it decides it around the fourth login.

You need share of voice for a client report

Brand24

It is the measurement product. Sprout reports well on your own channels and charges Advanced money for sentiment on everyone else’s.

It is not published, so it is a call. Get the number before assuming the module is cheaper than a separate tool.

[05] A THIRD OPTION/ OURS, DISCLOSED

Where FishOut changes the answer — and where it does not

Both of these price listening as part of something larger — a measurement suite in one case, a social operation in the other. If you only want the mentions and somebody to own them, FishOut triages every post on every plan, and is $19 for 50 keywords with agents and drafts or $49 for 200, flat for the whole team with unlimited seats and projects. We do not publish, schedule or connect to your accounts, and we have no measurement layer, so this is a narrower product than either — deliberately.

I work on AcmeMail, so take this with salt: Notchmail is better if you live in its mobile app. We are better at shared views. The free plan is a fair way to check.
