Brand24 vs Mention

Two long-standing brand-monitoring suites that have moved in different directions. Brand24 still publishes five tiers, has added an MCP server to every plan, and updates in realtime from Pro. Mention, now part of Agorapulse, sells a single Company plan through a demo and removed its Publish and Respond features in January 2026. For most buyers today, Brand24 is the easier one to buy and to use.

Brand24 against Mention

Every figure read from each vendor's own materials on 20 October 2026. A tick marks the column with the advantage on that row; plenty of rows have neither, which is usually the honest answer. Pricing in this category moves — three of the ten tools we track repriced during 2026 — so confirm anything you are about to sign for.

[02] WHERE BRAND24 WINS/ HONESTLY

You can read the price

Five published tiers and a trial. Mention’s pricing page shows one plan and a demo button, and the last figure it published — $599 a month annually, in a support article — may no longer be current.

An MCP server on every plan

Brand24 ships an MCP server at mcp.brand24.com on all plans. Mention documents none.

Realtime from Pro

Brand24 updates in realtime from its $499 Pro plan. Mention does not publish an update cadence.
[03] WHERE MENTION WINS/ HONESTLY

Unlimited users at its one price

Mention’s Company plan carries unlimited users. Brand24’s Individual plan is one user; it is unlimited from Team up.

If you already use Agorapulse

Mention is now part of Agorapulse, and replying moved there. For a team already publishing through Agorapulse, that is one vendor rather than two.
[04] HOW TO CHOOSE/ SHORTCUTS

You want to start without a sales call

Brand24

Published tiers, a 14-day trial, and an MCP server from day one.

Your team already runs Agorapulse

Mention

Monitoring and replying under one roof.

You need realtime alerts

Brand24

Realtime from Pro; Mention does not publish a cadence.

[05] A THIRD OPTION/ OURS, DISCLOSED

Where FishOut changes the answer — and where it does not

If you came to either of these for conversations to reply to rather than for PR reporting, a third option changes the answer. FishOut reads every post for relevance and whether it deserves a reply, drafts the answer in your voice from $19, and publishes its prices — 50 keywords for $19 against Brand24’s 3 for $249 — with an MCP server and API on every plan, Free included. It does not produce the share-of-voice and media reports both suites are built for.

For ten people on vendor email, compare how each handles assignment and collision. I work on AcmeMail, so discount accordingly — happy to share the checklist we give teams moving off Notchmail.
