Replies
FishOut drafts the reply and stops. How drafts are written, the check that runs on each one, and why nothing is ever posted for you.
Open a mention, choose Generate draft, and a reply is written in your project's Voice. Read it, edit it, copy it, and post it from your own account.
Paid plans
Reply drafts are available on Plus and above: 300 a month on Plus, 1,500 on Pro and 3,000 on Business. Drafts stop at the cap; nothing else is affected.

This is a product decision, not a missing feature.
Tools that post automatically do it from pooled accounts, and those accounts get banned — along with the threads they touched. The reply that works is the one that comes from a real account with a real history, sent by someone who read the room. The draft is the part worth automating. The click is not.
So there is no "auto-reply" setting, no connected posting account, and no way to turn this off. FishOut writes; you send.
Voice
Each project has a Voice, set on its settings page:
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Tone | Helpful, Direct, Casual, Technical or Apologetic. You can pick a different one for a single draft |
| Links | Include links when useful · Only when the post asks for one · Never include links |
| Sign-off | A line to end on, like — Sam, founder |
Drafts also follow the platform they are going to: under 280 characters on X, no marketing language on Hacker News, technical on GitHub, professional on LinkedIn. And they are written in the language of the post, so a German thread gets a German reply.
The Reply call hint, when there is one, is a good guide to what the draft should do — answer the question, lead with help, or leave the link out.
Draft check
Every generated draft is read back before you see it, against four checks:
| Check | Passes when |
|---|---|
| Claims | It makes no claims you may not be able to back up |
| Links | It follows your Voice's link policy |
| Affiliation | It says who you are when it mentions your product |
| Voice | It sounds like your Voice |
A failed check is a warning, not a block. It tells you what to fix before you post.
Disclosure
Drafts say who you are. If you work on the product being discussed, the reply says so.
This is not politeness — it is what keeps the account alive. Every platform's self-promotion rules turn on disclosure, and an undisclosed vendor reply is the one that gets removed and reported. You are responsible for what you post; see the Terms.
Editing and sending
Copy puts the draft on your clipboard; open the post on its platform, paste, adjust, send. Save draft keeps your edits, and Generate draft writes a new one, optionally in a different tone. Earlier drafts stay in the draft history.
After you post, paste the link to your reply into Track published reply. That marks the mention replied and the draft posted, so a shared queue does not produce two people answering the same thread.
A draft has a status — draft, edited, posted or discarded.
Drafting automatically
An agent can draft on arrival rather than when you open a mention, so the reply is waiting before you get there — for example, every Reply now post on a topic keyword. Agent drafts are saved to the mention and never posted.
