FishOut vs Redship

Redship is a focused Reddit tool for founders: it finds threads worth a reply, suggests the reply, and adds two Reddit-specific extras — threads that rank on Google, and threads AI assistants cite. FishOut does the find-and-draft part across ten platforms, sends alerts to thirteen places rather than two, and has no seat count. Which matters depends on whether Reddit is your market or one channel of it.

[03] WHERE REDSHIP IS STRONGER/ HONESTLY
Redship is Reddit lead finding with replies, SEO threads and AI citations, and there are things it does that we do not.

SEO threads and AI citations, on the cheapest plan

Every Redship plan surfaces Reddit threads that rank on Google and tracks which threads AI assistants cite, weekly. FishOut reads conversations as they happen; it does not tell you which old thread ranks or gets quoted by a model. If Reddit SEO is your strategy, that is a genuine feature we do not have.

Unlimited reply suggestions

Redship lists unlimited AI reply suggestions on both plans. FishOut drafts are capped by plan — 300 a month on Plus, 1,500 on Pro — which is plenty for most teams but is a cap.

A $12 week to try it

A one-time 7-day pass with everything in Founder. FishOut’s free plan is the try-before-you-buy here, but a paid week of the full product is a tidy idea.
[04] WHERE FISHOUT WINS/ WITH PROOF

Thirteen destinations against two

Redship alerts by email and Slack, and adds webhooks on its $49 plan. FishOut sends to 13 destinations on every plan, Free included — Teams, Google Chat, Discord, Telegram, Mattermost, ntfy, Zapier and signed webhooks among them. A founder whose team lives in Discord or Telegram should not have to bridge it.

No seat count

Redship Founder is one seat and Company is three. Every FishOut plan has unlimited members, so a cofounder, a support lead and a contractor can all see the same inbox without a plan change.

Reddit, and the rest of your market

Reddit, Hacker News, Bluesky, GitHub and Google News are checked hourly on Free; LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and Medium join from $19/mo. Developers ask for tools on Hacker News and GitHub as often as on Reddit, and those threads never reach a Reddit-only tool.

MCP before you pay

Redship’s MCP server is good — seven tools, OAuth, read and triage. It needs an active subscription. FishOut’s is on the free plan, so you can point Claude or Cursor at your inbox before deciding anything.

What you get instead of Redship

This is the free plan. Instead of a feed of matches, a list sorted by who is asking — and unlike Redship, alerts go to whichever of thirteen places your team reads.

Customers email three different addresses and we keep missing orders

Orders come in to info@, orders@ and my personal email. We have missed two this month. How do other small shops handle this?

Draft reply

Forward all three addresses into one shared inbox and you stop missing orders on day one. AcmeMail does this (I work there), but even a single Gmail with filters is a start.
